Composer Joseph Bennie has been involved with classical musicians and orchestras from a very young age. Having composed music for film, television and theatre from around the world, he has become more passionate about writing music that captures the grand sound of the orchestra combined with a hybrid modern edge.
Joseph is currently composing the score for the US Thriller "Breather" and Australian films "Highway" and "Bait", which are both from the Australian independent production company, Sunburn Studios, which he founded with Amie Thomas. Joseph also recently composed the score for the UK feature film, "Control" starring Lauren Metcalfe and has produced music for numerous US television productions including Dance Moms, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Dr OZ, Million Dollar Matchmaker, WWE Rivals, Bridezillas, International COPA America Series, The Bachelorette and many others including the family trailer for the Sony film, Ratchet and Clank.
Over the years then he has scored for numerous short films and feature films in the US, UK and Australia including Cain Hill (starring Gemma Atkinson), Train Set, Defector, Restoration, Contact Lost and Superman Requiem.
From high impact epic scores to the contemporary minimalistic approach, Joseph is fascinated by film music and the way that a score can become a storyteller in itself.
